Research On Social Media Skills For Dietitians
Calling All Canadian Registered Dietitians! Help Shape the Future of Digital Dietetics

Are you a Registered Dietitian in Canada?
Our team is recruiting participants for a national study titled: "Social Media Skills for Dietitians."
As dietitians, we are increasingly expected to communicate evidence-based information online, yet most of us were never formally trained to do so with confidence or professionalism. This study aims to explore the knowledge, attitudes, practices, and training needs of Canadian dietitians related using social media in professional practice.
The results will help inform future training programs that equip dietitians with the skills and confidence to share credible content online while maintaining professional standards.
What participation involves:
A 20-minute online survey (based on the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices [KAP] model)
After completion of the survey, participants can opt to be invited to a 90-minute virtual focus group. Participants for focus groups will be invited by email based on availability and diversity (years of practice, scope of practice, social media savvy, and representation of marginalized groups)
Incentives:
Survey participants will be entered into a draw to win one of five $50 electronic Amazon gift cards
Focus group participants will receive a $75 electronic Amazon gift card as a thank you for their time
Eligibility criteria for the survey:
✔ Be a Registered Dietitian in Canada
✔ Reside and practice in Canada
✔ Read and understand English
